The Feltic Strings
Not sure why we had to come up with a name, I suppose the F from Farthing into Celtic became the Feltic Strings. Ruby was a key to the below, she heard a CD of mine (Dad likes Celtic) and a track by Erin Shore called Carisma and thought she could play it on her violin. Then I thought that between Ruby and I we could find the right notes for Banjo to play on his Cello and the below is the end result. Just a little something we did on a quiet Sunday!

Elsey's First Outside Run
And Run she did! Took Elsey and Possum out to the Claypans today during lunch. wasn't a really long stay, but they ran around for about half an hour. Apologies to Ruby for the lack of Possum photos, truth is most of his are blurry or he's looking the other way.
Elsey on the other hand was a bit unsure at first, but was much more obedient at coming when called, which was a pleasant surprise.
On with the photos:

Moses' pass and Jarrah's Goal
This is an amazing bit of teamwork and a fair bit of luck. Moses decides to try to set Jarrah up for a goal at Soccer, sends him long, kicks the ball and the rest as they say, is in the video!
It was the only goal of the game!

Moses' Birthday 2011
Yes, our youngest has turned 7! Hard to believe.
A fairly quiet year this year. A couple of books (one on Birds, one on Kakadu) and a video camera. As per usual, his birthday co-incided with the running of the Finke Desert Race with 500 motorbikes and quad bikes, and 100 buggies, 4WDs and trucks - an enjoyable event to try out your new birthday present! He has had two cakes, one for the family celebration (a Brahminy Kite cake) and one for the School Celebration (White-winged Fairy-wren). Generally it is not too difficult to tell when Moses is excited or a bit disappointed, but this year was. We think we have done the right thing but he has been more subdued than normal, maybe just that little bit older.
Here are some photos of the occasion:
